A new age of intercom
and whole home paging is here. The basic on-wall stations with
intercoms are still very popular and are great for those who
just need basic paging with distributed audio and desire any
more features. We still do install standard intercom systems,
so let us know what you need and we will find the perfect fit.
Now let's talk about real whole home intercom/communication
systems.
Imagine having whole home audio, video, intercom, doorbell and
telephone all tied into one single system. No more on-wall intercom
stations, instead you use any telephone in the house to page,
answer the doorbell and even to mute home audio.
This is how it is done:
We install your whole home audio system (or if you already have
one) with speakers in all main areas of listening, i.e.; Master
Bedroom & Bathroom, Living Room, Dining Room, Family Room,
Guest Rooms, Game Room, Exercise Room, Theater, and so on. Now
that the audio system is in place, we install a controller that
takes input from the incoming phone lines (excluding security
and fax). This can now be used for paging. Picking up any phone
in the house and pressing *P on the keypad will page to any
rooms with speakers. Even if audio is being played at the time,
it will mute the speakers and announce the page. Neat huh?
It gets better. With the system in place, if the phone rings
while your audio system is on, it will mute. If you have a door
station system and someone arrives, it will mute and play a
programmed chime through the speakers at a selected volume level.
Then just pick up any phone, press *D, and you are talking to
the person at the door! (If we install the door station with
the camera, you can even see your visitor on any TV at the same
time!)

more coming! Let's say you are in the bathtub, on the phone
and someone comes to the front door. When they press the doorbell,
it will give you a special beep on the phone, press *D, it will
place your call on hold while giving them on-hold music, and
transfer you to the person waiting at the door. We're sure when
you return to your phone call the person will be amazed you
have on hold music! Do you ever leave the phone off the hook
on accident? If this happens you will be notified by a quaint
"beep" through the speakers every 3 minutes. (This
feature can be turned off) So now you don't just have a basic
intercom, you have a convenience system that combines features
you have always wanted.
